Although my room only had one chair and dim lighting, the view of the mountains from the 5th floor was lovely. However, the rollaway bed was not as comfortable as I had hoped, especially considering the price paid for the room at La Fonda on New Year's Eve. The service was top-notch and very accommodating, even helping me with directions around town. The location, despite needing a facelift, was fabulous, right near the square and within walking distance to various attractions. As for dining, the beautiful atrium setting was a nice touch, but I wished breakfast started earlier. Overall, an excellent stay with some minor room and bedding issues.

Rooms

The room had dim lighting with a gas-burning fireplace and faced an inner courtyard with a covered pool. The views of the mountains from the 5th floor were fantastic, but the rollaway bed was not very comfortable given the price paid.

I had an amazing stay at La Fonda! The hotel's location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of the plaza, surrounded by restaurants and shops. The rooms were top-notch, albeit a bit pricier than other nearby options. The service was exceptional, with a personal touch in every interaction. The dining experience was delightful, especially the coffee at the French Crepery. Overall, a great value for the money spent.

The rooms were very good, though they come at a higher price compared to nearby hotels. Nevertheless, they were worth it and provided a comfortable stay.
